Hal is divorced from Linda Graves who is Nikki's mom. He is also divorced from Barbara Ryan (Dixon)who is the mother of Will. He and Margo Hughes were lovers which resulted in Adam. He married and divorced Carly Tenney. They have a son Parker. Hal married Barbara once again and they are divorced again. Currently, Hal is doing everything he can to stop Barbara from marrying Craig Montgomery.

Benjamin Hendrickson has been nominated for 4 SOD Awards. He has been in many Broadway productions. His movie "Spanking The Monkey" won the 1994 Sundance Film Festival.
