Stephen
Schnetzer
(Cass Winthrop) Stephen Schnetzer originated
the role of Cass Winthrop on Another World in 1982. He
played the role until June 1999 when Another World went
off the air. At that time the character moved to Oakdale,
the fictional town in As The World Turns. Schnetzer
received a B.A. in French from the University of
Massachusetts. He then trained at the Julliard School in
NYC and at Alvin Ailey's American Dance Center. His
thetre credits include A Talent for Murder (with
Claudette Colbert) and Filumena (which was
directed by Sir Laurence Olivier). Other credits include
touring with Shakespeare's People and appearing
on PBS' The Taming of the Shrew. He was in The
Tempest with Sir Anthony Hopkins and also in Romeo
and Juliet. For four seasons Schnetzer was a company
member with the American Conservatory Theater in San
Francisco.His TV credits include The Cosby Mysteries,
Prince Street, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, and Hawaii
Five-O. Schnetzer appeared on One Life to Live
as Marcello Salta and on Days of Our Lives as
Steve Olsen. He was born on June 11 in Canton,
Massachusetts. Schnetzer is married to
Nancy Snyder who is an actress and they have 2 sons.
On Another World Cass' mother was Claudia
Winthrop. Morgan Winthrop is
his borther and Stacey Winthrop his
sister. Charlie Frame Winthrop is his
daughter with Frankie Frame. He was married to Kathleen
McKinnon and Frankie Frame. He
and Felicia Gallant were lovers. He is
now married to Lila Roberts. Cass
Winthrop is a very good attorney.
